Rose Colored Glasses?

Nick thinks that I am looking through rose colored glasses when we go back to Indiana. Forget that it rained for our entire trip (with the temperature slowly dropping and the wind gradually picking up!) our 5 day trip back to Indiana was perfect! We had an action packed weekend, with little room for hangovers...
Thursday: We arrived to a balmy 60 degree afternoon, we had dinner with some old family friends, the Rademakers. We reminisced about those family trips to Key West and high school hangovers! I got to meet my new niece Ellie for the first time and see how much Aiden has grown into a little (non-stop) man!
Friday: We celebrated my Dad's 59th birthday. It was so great to see the Watts family. Aunt Sandi treated us to appetizers and the Fuller's had drinks at their new Carmel house. I got to meet another new addition to the Watts family, Jacob Michael, my dad's new son. Dad seemed thrilled that his family had grown 6 fold in the last 2 years, a great way to begin another year of living!
Saturday: Jenni and Matt threw Baby Waelty a party! We had tacos and margarita's and had several friends and family make the trip from all over. Nick and I are always amazed at how supportive our family and friends are with our recent wedding and now baby. We were thrilled to see everyone and are grateful for the ongoing support!
Sunday: Ellie Dawson, now 4 months, was baptised! She was so content and perfect throughout the entire ceremony. Nick didn't make it through the church service, he was paying the price for his suggestion of Patron shots the night before....but he made a perfect Christan witness for the baptism!
Monday: Nick and I played tourist in downtown Indianapolis, on a freezing and typical March afternoon. I took him to the IUPUI natatorium for a fun masters workout (and 30 minute swim), to Harry and Izzy's for St. Elmo's famous shrimp cocktail and we did a drive by of Conseco Fieldhouse and Lucas Oil Stadium!

Really, getting to know Aiden and Ellie was the highlight of our trip. Aiden says so many words and he is 100% boy! Every morning, Aiden would point to our bedroom and say Nick on repeat until I took him into the room to wake Nick up. He has grown up so much! Ellie, on the other hand, is so mellow and sweet. She will go to anyone and is content just watching the chaos around her. I can't wait to see them grow over the next few months in pictures and see them again in August!
