SO with my unemployment ominous in our heads, we have decided to stay traditional and get creative. The traditional anniversary guide to gift giving says that "paper" is appropriate for our 1st anniversary and $25 is our limit. This was pretty easy for me, being female...but Nick is really struggling with gift ideas. So, this blog is more for my husband a) because I want a gift b) because I don't want a piece of paper folded in half with "I love you" written in cursive.

She loves her starbucks (for after baby). OR itunes giftcard.
A gift certificate for a spa for $25. Granted this won't cover an entire massage (which I am sure Erica is likely desperate for at the moment) but it will subsidize some of the cost!
