It's Summer and I have a few favorite things...

Nope, I'm not Oprah. But I love her...any consolation?
But because you're reading this...
Oh crap, nope, you won't be getting these things from me. Sorry.
But thanks again for visiting!

1) Songs on the radio.
Kieth Urban's Without You
One Republic's Good Life
Adele's Rolling in the Deep

2) Alba Botanica Sunblock
Have you checked out the FDA regulations on sunscreen? Well, the sun is hot and harsh here in the summer and I've already aged significantly in my 5 years in California, no more Midwest "dewy" skin for this gal. Alba is mineral based and is ranked really well on the Environmental Working Group's list for top sunscreen. Oh yeah, it's $5. Way cheaper then almost any other sunscreen on the list or at Target.

3) Lulu Lemon
'nough said.

4) GroVia Cloth Diapers and iPlay Swim Diapers
We have used cloth diapers for Charlie's entire first year. The GroVia collection is about a $400 investment but it has been well worth it. Because of our high efficiency washer/dryer, our water/electric bill hasn't increased since BC (before Charlie). So I am estimating a cost savings of over $300 (and over 2,000 diapers from filling our earth). Now, we do use Seventh Generation diapers when we travel and at nighttime, but thanks to Amazon, we saved by buying in bulk. The GroVia diapers don't leak and the convenient snaps on the front grow as he grows. And lets be serious, they are so much cuter than disposables!

5) The BOB Revolution and Maclaren Triumph
Regardless of whether you are a serious runner or active parent, the BOB is the best!
And as far as umbrella strollers go, the Triumph takes the cake.
Spend the money, you'll thank me.

6) Veggie Crisps
Thank you Jessica, how could I have forgotten? These things are amazing, they are like potato chips but look like really salty dried veggies. Seriously, veggies that taste like potato chips!
GENIUS!
The best solution to those pre-menstrual days of craving really salty food. NW Delights is our vendor in Sonora, but they can be found in your bulk food aisle at healthy food stores.
Totally healthy for you, right? Just don't check the daily sodium percentage!

Yes, Charlie is napping and I've started getting a rash from not posting in over two weeks. Thanks for letting me push my materialism on you.
