16 Months Later: Charlie's Wall

I am finally decorating Charlie's bedroom wall. He surprised us by coming three weeks early and didn't allow for enough time to decorate the nursery.

Yeah, I'm just gonna blame him...

The original plan was for Nick's Dad/Brother to fabricate some cool metal "Charlie" contraption to cover the entirety of his wall. But we obviously weren't lucrative enough because they wasted their summer fabricating firepits and donating them to churches...

So, I stumbled upon the backup plan on Etsy, my search for "Halloween costumes" turned into "Vintage Art" and eventually ended with the vintage coloring book papers that are pictured below. So I negotiated the AWESOME steal price of $65. Now, if you are like my husband, your jaw just dropped BUT to decorate a wall for $65...that is a steal!

But, its a kids room, and he needed brighter art to cover his walls. And in all actuality, it would bother me if I decorated his wall with black photos and his furniture was espresso finish...
So I enlisted the craft talents of my awesome neighbor (who has an actual "craft room") and she helped me scan and Photoshop the photos into what you see below. I took the new pictures and glued them onto foam board with a spray adhesive and eventually spent about 30 minutes cutting them with a exacto knife.

It was a super easy project and ended up costing $20 in supplies + $65 vintage prints = $85
Pretty cheap for a whole wall, right?

But...I'm now stuck with these vintage prints, any takers?
