I was prepared for Halloween super early this year, because I was SO confident that Mack was going to be here earlier in the month. Well, he didn't come as early as I had expected, so we were still in the hospital on Halloween day. Thankfully, Mimi was here and took on all the work that the day requires. His costume just required him to throw it on over his clothes (she actually made his cute dinosaur costume back in September and mailed it out here for him to wear), because I didn't know how he would handle anything more elaborate. She took him to school, where they did a little foot parade around the fitness center campus, and they got to drink apple cider with snack. She said he caught on really quick to the idea of trick-or-treating, and starting pushing his way up to the front of the line (that's a boy after my own sugar loving heart!).
We did make it home from the hospital while Charlie was at school and got to take him out trick-or-treating to two whole houses in our neighborhood. Mimi got to stay home with baby Mack (and a glass of red) after all her hard work earlier in the day. Thanks Mimi!
