And guess what…even second graders know better than to pick a lame month like February as the favorite. Even if it's your birthday month and/or you absolutely LOVE Valentine's Day -- the days are still too short and Mother Nature is still a huge B.
But here's the thing-- while, it will never be a favorite, it hasn't been that bad this year. Thanks to Abe and George, I get two consecutive Monday's off. And four day work weeks are glorious. Can we sign a petition or call our senators? I'm all for making the switch.
The Olympics! We haven't been watching. BUT I love all the excitement. While, Russia seems like a bore, excellence in sport is always awesome.
And Valentine's Day was fun enough. Although, I'm really looking forward to when the work is off my back and Nick can sit with Charlie to help him sign his name for the 55 "friends" at preschool.
It would be a breeze, right?
Carmel High School won their 28th consecutive state championship in swimming. Amazing, right? I was there from 11-14 and it seems like just yesterday. I actually remember the feeling of walking into the natatorium with my teammates. One of the best feelings of all of our lives...
And if you are a swimmer in Carmel, it's something you dream of being a part of one day.
Speaking of records. Check out these girls break the national record in the medley relay. Incredible.

With all this "WoW"...I'm sure you're thinking, "how could February get any better?" I'll tell you how. Nick (and his Dad) built us an urban chicken coop! It will house three little ladies starting next month. I'll keep you updated on this venture, I'm sure it will have its blog-worthy moments (I'm giving it a year).

I am feeling pretty special now that I have made your blog! That swimming was ridiculously fast! Good luck with the chickens!
I love that quote from you! Those memories are still some of the best of my life--I don't know if that means they were really special or my life is really lame? Either way, glad to be a part of it!
