Indiana, Oh Indiana

I absolutely LOVE fall in the Midwest and last weekend didn't disappoint. The weather was so beautiful and it was just nice to be immersed in it after a week straight of 100+ degree days here. We had the opportunity to just enjoy our first few days in Indiana with nothing on the agenda but visit.

We stayed with Jenni and family. Aiden and Ellie are getting so big! Ellie is 10 months and we were fortunate enough to see her take some of her first steps. She does have a perma scowl on her face but every once in a while, she'll grace you with a smile. I hope she learns to give up the smile a little easier because with that haircut...
As for Aiden, "terrible two's" do apply, but when he is in a good place...he is SO much fun and talking like crazy! My favorite words are obviously "Aunt Erica," "Uncle Nick" and "poop" (just because its funny). So cute!

Darcy also stopped by for a short visit. She too, enjoys pink champagne, so we enjoyed a glass or two while catching up. It was so good to she her again!!

On Saturday, we planned a trip to Bloomington for the Michigan vs. Indiana football game. Oh wow. The rain and the tempers poured! It rained the whole trip down there, our cooler spilled over the entire back of the truck and traffic was crazy bad. IU just renovated their stadium and this being the first sold out game left for something to be desired... We finally got to our parking spot about an hour before game time. Everyone was a little tense, but nothing that a few beers and some fried chicken couldn't cure.

The game ended up being closer than expected. IU played so well and it was actually a fun game to watch. Well, it could have been more fun if not for the absolute idiot that sat behind me. He acted as if he knew everything! He was super loud and obnoxious and of course, he was an IU fan. But it was really fun being back in Memorial Stadium. Jenni and I spent a lot of fall Saturday's there as kids...staring at the Red Steppers and hoping we'd be that pretty in college...

Anyway...GO BLUE! 5-0!
(and a big thanks to Mimi for babysitting)
