Celtic Faire Friends

See what I did there?....A little Wheel of Fortune "Before and After" title? Yeah, it's a stretch.

So we had the Celtic Faire this weekend and we had friends come up. Hence the title. If you've never been to the Sonora Celtic Faire, you're really missing out. Because why? Because you should always make a point to never pass up a fair that they spell with an extra "e" at the end. Jeff's pretty sure it stands for "excitement."

As if Tuolumne County isn't enough of a draw for weirdos...this Renaissance celebration really brings 'em out. People dress in period clothing, like armor and corsets, if you are really interested...here's how. There is jousting and bands and all sorts of fun stuff and because Nick takes Charlie, he can sneak in beer in the stroller. And because it is one of Nick's more exciting weekends of his year, he invited in college friends up to join him.

Luckily, they brought their wives.
Jeff and Lindsay drove all the way up from San Diego, which was so great, because we only get to see them a few times a year. While Wally and Jessica came up from the East Bay. I love seeing Nick in his element with lifelong, great friends. I also love hearing stories of their college days. I can only hope that my kids have a similar/innocent college experience.

The boys went to the faire...while the ladies sipped a lovely rose (thanks Jessica) and watched my kids play. The Sealock's gifted more train pieces to Charlie but it also provided a lot of evening entertainment for the guys.

It was so fun catching up and seeing everyone. We owe you all a trip soon!
